Proposed Development of 32 Affordable Flats at Orchard Street, Neath, Neath Port Talbot

Evans Banks Planning Limited has been instructed by Orchard Street (Neath) Ltd and Linc Cymru to undertake a Pre-Application Consultation process for the proposed development of 32 affordable flats at Orchard Street, Neath, Neath Port Talbot.

The proposed development comprises of 19 one-bedroom flats and 8 two-bedroom flats that will fulfil the current need for older persons accommodation in the town together with 5 one-bedroom flats that will provide move on accommodation for previously homeless persons; thus achieving the Welsh Government’s vision to make homelessness rare, brief and non-recurrent.

The proposal constitutes a ‘major’ development, whereby the Welsh Government pre-application consultation procedures (PAC) apply (The Town and Country Planning (Development Management Procedure) (Wales) (Amendment) Order 2016) (‘the Order’).

Commencing on Thursday 28th January 2021, comments and responses to the proposed application are now invited from all parties and should be received no later than Friday 26th February 2021.
